MY APPROACH
Occupational Therapists strongly advocate for meaningful engagement in self-care, productivity, and leisure activities, which promote enhanced mental health and overall well-being. Using a client-centred approach, I will utilize a range of standardized and unstandardized assessments to identify your unique needs.

By adopting this client-centred approach together, we can ensure that your therapy outcomes, goals, and tasks are tailored to be relevant, specific, and meaningful, fully honouring your individuality.
TREATMENT AREAS
WHAT TO EXPECT
I offer online sessions for clients aged 16 and upwards. Our session will take place using a POPI-compliant telehealth platform, where we will start with an assessment, set individual goals and work towards those goals in a structured manner. See the image below:

Individual standardized and unstandardized assessments to determine your baseline. Assessments are done online or in-person when required
Using the information gained during the assessment stage, we will look at what you would like to achieve during your time in therapy. Goals are personal and aim at improving your quality of life.
During this stage we learn new skills which support the improvement of one's quality of life. These skills can be in various areas of daily life, while being
practical and transferable
We will revist our goals to determine our progress and make adaptations as we go. Re-evaluation is always happening but we will formalize it at various stages.
This comes when our goals are achieved and one feels confident and capable to continue with their day-to-day life without input. Yay!
I am registered to work with South African and UK-based clients. I am affiliated with South African medical aids and clients can claim independently should they wish to do so.
